The Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival is a study-performance Festival held annually on the beautiful University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus. Registration is open to adults, college students and high school graduates. Experienced dance students ages 12 and up may register, too. Ice skaters at any age or level of advancement are welcome to register.

We are a lay-led Unitarian Universalist fellowship that is welcoming, open and affirming to all. Sunday services feature guest speakers, visiting ministers, music, dramatic presentations, and facilitated discussions on a variety of spiritual and social topics. Services are 60 to 75 minutes long and are followed by a coffee hour. Religious Exploration classes are available for school-age children from September to May. Childcare is available during services for toddlers and preschoolers.

Alaska hardwoods, aspen and cottonwood, provide excellent logs for full-scribe cabin building. We teach workshops on building cabins with our underutilized tree species. Come and see what a project looks like from start to finish.
Valerie Barber directs the UAF-Forest Products Program for UAF-SNRAS and is a forestry/climate change specialist with Cooperative extension. She organizes log cabin building and other interesting workshops using Alaska s natural resources.

Libby Casey is a producer and host of C-SPAN's morning call-in program Washington Journal. She was the Alaska Public Radio Network's D.C. Correspondent after spending nearly a decade at KUAC in Fairbanks where she covered everything from mushing to politics. Her radio stories have aired on NPR and won awards including the Alaska Press Club's Public Service Award.
